Se le conoce por el jazz bueno que toca ,pero el empezo con la orquesta Irakere ....tocaban de todo un poco ,como tambien todos en la orquesta eran maestros de musica lo que tocaban les salia bien ,hay varios de esa orquesta famosos a nivel internacional ej Paquito de Rivera pero este esta en la categoria de saksofon y clarinet. Este reconocimiento es similar a decir que Chaplin es el actor más cómico de todos los tiempos. 2.Maynard Ferguson Extraordinario Ferguson 4.Wynton Marsalis Ejecuciones técnicas complejas a la perfección!!! 5.Arturo Sandoval Soberbio!!! Recuerdo la primera vez que lo escuche en Radio Clasica allá por el 1997-8, hace lo que quiere con la trompeta. Participo en la BSO de Vampiros en la Habana, dotando al personaje principal de su virtuosismo. 7.Miles Davis GENIO!!! 10.Dizzy Gillespie Sin lugar a dudas tenía que estar dentro de los 10. N°10 en el ranking de trompetistas, N°1 en el de cachetes de KIKO 15.chuck mangione Este es mi favorito. Quizá no es el mejor ejecutor, pero si un compositor de mucho sentimiento. Recuero el título de un video en Youtube que decía “CHUCK MANGIONE- Feel so good, and sound so bad” y la verdad es el que tipo no es un virtuoso, pero su música es comercial y pega.
