"Hotel California" is the title track from the Eagles' album of the same name and was released as a single in February 1977.[2] Writing credits for the song are shared by Don Felder (music), Don Henley, and Glenn Frey (lyrics). The Eagles' original recording of the song features Henley singing the lead vocals and concludes with an extended section of electric guitar interplay between Felder and Joe Walsh.

The song is considered the most famous recording of the band, and its long guitar coda has been voted the best guitar solo of all time.[3][4] The song was awarded the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1978.[5] The lyrics of the song have been given various interpretations by fans and critics alike, the Eagles themselves described the song as their "interpretation of the high life in Los Angeles".[6] In the 2013 documentary History of the Eagles, Henley said that the song was about "a journey from innocence to experience... that's all..."[7]

"Never Say Goodbye" is a song by American rock band Bon Jovi, written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. It was a track off the band's album, Slippery When Wet, in June 1987, and reached number 11 on the mainstream rock charts[1] and number 21 in the UK Singles Chart. Because it was not released domestically as a commercially available single, "Never Say Goodbye" was ineligible to chart on the Billboard Hot 100;[2] nevertheless, it reached number 28 on the Hot 100 Airplay survey.[3]

The song was featured on some versions of the band's Cross Road greatest hits album and is still occasionally performed live by the band in concert.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_%28Spandau_Ballet_song%29

"True" is a song by the English band Spandau Ballet. It was released on 14 April 1983 as the third single from their third studio album of the same name. The song was written by band member Gary Kemp.

The song was a huge worldwide hit, peaking at number one in the UK Singles Chart on 30 April 1983 for four weeks,[3] becoming the sixth biggest selling single of the year, and charting highly in 20 other countries. It is Spandau Ballet's biggest hit and their only major hit in the U.S., reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in the autumn of 1983 and topping the adult contemporary chart for one week.[4]

In 1985, the band performed the song during Live Aid. A new mix by Tony Swain and Gary Kemp was released in 2002 on the compilation album Reformation.

On 30 April 2008, the single celebrated its 25th anniversary, and in honour, EMI released a brand new True EP on 5 May 2008, which included the original single, the new mix found on Reformation and the remastered album version, plus a live recordings of "True" and "Gold" from the last show of the group's 1983 tour at Sadlers Wells.

A notable omission is that Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp did not perform on the track, rather a bass synthesizer was used instead. However, Kemp would play in his capacity for future live performances.

(1988); later, it reached number one in its re-release in 1989 on the Canadian singles chart and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart on 4 November 1989, their second chart-topper of the year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suedehead

"Suedehead" is the debut solo single from Morrissey, released in February 1988.

The single charted higher than any of the singles released by his former band The Smiths, reaching No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart.[3] "Suedehead" peaked at No. 2 in Ireland,[4] No. 8 in New Zealand,[5] and reached the top 50 in Germany,[6] the Netherlands,[7] and Australia.[8] The lead track was featured on Morrissey's debut album Viva Hate and the compilation album Bona Drag, the latter of which also featured the B-side "Hairdresser on Fire". The artwork of the single features a photo taken by Geri Caulfield at a Smiths gig at the London Palladium.

The video clip, directed by Tim Broad, features the singer walking through the streets of Fairmount, Indiana,[9] the boyhood city of actor James Dean, including shots of the school where Dean studied and the Park Cemetery, where he is buried. Other allusions to Dean in the video include a child (played by Sam Esty Rayner, Morrissey's nephew, who went on to direct the video for "Kiss Me a Lot" in 2015) delivering to the singer a copy of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, Dean's favourite book.[10]
