"West End Girls" is a song by British pop duo Pet Shop Boys. Written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the song was released twice as a single. "If You Don't Know Me by Now" is a song written by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff and recorded by the Philly soul musical group Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, which became their first hit after being released as a single in 1972 topping the US R&B chart and peaking at number three on the US Pop chart.^[1]

The song was originally written for Labelle (a trio led by Patti LaBelle) but they never recorded it. Much like the issue with "I Miss You" and The Dells passing on it, the song's composers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff gave the song to Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, which featured Teddy Pendergrass as lead vocalist. Seal recorded the song for his 2008 album Soul, and, in April 2009, it became his first top-ten Adult Contemporary hit since "Love's Divine" in 2004;^[3] the song was subsequently nominated for the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy.

Rod Stewart also included this song on his 2009 album Soulbook.

"Live is Life" fue el segundo sencillo de la banda, lanzado en 1985. El sencillo tuvo bastante éxito y alcanzó las primeras posiciones de las listas de popularidad de varios países. La canción fue regrabada en 2008 y relanzada como un sencillo.

La canción fue creada durante un concierto en Oberwart (Austria) el 2 de septiembre de 1984, mientras la banda celebraba su undécimo aniversario. La banda grabó una versión en vivo, en la cual la audiencia canta los versos. En la letra de la canción, la banda expresa "el cariño entusiástico de la banda por el escenario

Amii Stewart (29 de enero de 1956, en Washington, Estados Unidos) es una actriz, bailarina y cantante de música soul, disco y más tarde de dance.

Entró como un rayo dentro del panorama musical de con su versión de "Knock on Wood", un tema que ya interpretó Eddie Floyd; uno de los mejores cantantes de deep soul de Montgomery. Una de sus épocas más gloriosas fue la etapa que trabajó en los musicales de Broadway, entre los que destacó como protagonista de "Bubbling Brown Sugar". Otra de las versiones que la inmortalizaron fue una genial interpretación de "Light my fire" de The Doors, a partir del cual su éxito comenzó a bajar de una forma escalonada. Tras un tiempo se marchó a Italia, donde con compañías internacionales intentó lanzar algún single, que pasó sin pena ni gloria; para más tarde volver a Estados Unidos con la discográfica RCA a mediados de los '80. En 1985 volvió en cierta forma al panorama musical con el tema "Friends", que logró entrar en el top 40 R&B. A pesar de que cuenta con una carrera que abarca casi cuarenta años en activo ha editado pocos trabajos. Siempre tuvo contratos cortos, por lo que sus cambios de discográficas eran muy comunes. A pesar de que no cuenta con un material discográfico muy abundante, las recopilaciones de su obra son abundantes, al igual que los álbumes de remix con tendencias electrónicas que se mueven dentro del house y el dance.
