Lista de canciones y músicos de “Still Wish You Were Here”

  1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Partes 1-5) - Geoff Tate, Steve Hackett, Billy Sheehan, Mel Collins, Geoff Downes, Ian Paice
  2. Welcome to the Machine - Todd Rundgren, Rick Wakeman, Tony Levin
  3. Have a Cigar - James LaBrie, Steve Stevens, Patrick Moraz, Rat Scabies, Jah Wobble
  4. Wish You Were Here - Rik Emmett, Joe Satriani, Edgar Froese, David Ellefson, Carmine Appice
  5. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Partes 6-9) - Rod Argent, Steve Hillage, Ian Paice, Bootsy Collins

Hay un adelanto: "Welcome to the machine", por Todd Rundgren, Rick Wakeman y Tony Levin, lo pueden revisar a continuación.

Legendary UK prog rockers Caravan have announce they will release a massive 37-disc deluxe box set in August. You can watch a video trailer for the new release below.

Who Do We Think We Are?, which has been put together with the band's full co-operation, is the ultimate celebration of the Canterbury band and will be released through Madfish Records on August 20.

The set runs to a staggering 37 discs, including all the official Caravan albums – studio and live recordings among them – are joined by eleven discs of previously unreleased live performances. A Blu-ray includes Steven Wilson’s 5.1 surround sound mix of the classic In the Land of Grey and Pink album. In addition, a DVD includes vintage European TV performances from 1971 – 1981 (London Marquee, German TV’s Swing In, Bataclan, Paris & French TV show 'Pop 2').

The lavish packaging of the set reflects the band’s stature. A hardback coffee table book features rare Caravan photos and memorabilia, and a full discography. A second Fan Club book assembles historic press articles from across the band’s career, alongside a new interview with founder member Pye Hastings. Every copy of the box includes photos signed by the three surviving members of the original Caravan line-up: Pye Hastings, Richard Sinclair and David Sinclair. George Harrison’s masterpiece, ‘All Things Must Pass’, is being celebrated with a suite of new 50th anniversary editions, including multiple limited physical and digital configurations featuring sessions outtakes and jams on August 6th, 2021. All versions are available for pre-order now.

Decades in the making and lovingly crafted by the Harrison family, All Things Must Pass has now been completely remixed from the original tapes for this stunning release that fulfills Harrison’s longtime desire. Executive produced by Dhani Harrison and mixed by triple GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Paul Hicks (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon), the new mix transforms the album by sonically upgrading it – making it sound brighter, fuller and better than ever before. Formats contain various ephemera, including a scrapbook curated by Olivia Harrison, replica gnomes, original album poster and much more.

“Since the 50th anniversary stereo mix release of the title track to my father’s legendary All Things Must Pass album in 2020, my dear pal Paul Hicks and I have continued to dig through mountains of tapes to restore and present the rest of this newly remixed and expanded edition of the album you now see and hear before you,” says Dhani Harrison.

All Things Must Pass 50th Anniversary Edition will be available in the following formats:

UK prog pioneers Van der Graaf Generator have announced that they will release their Charisma Years box set on September 3.

The set includes 17 CDs and three Bu-rays and feature the band's entire recorded works for Charisma Records, including previously unreleased tracks and previously unreleased footage in brand new stereo and surround sound remixes.

“Well here we are as young men, pushing away, exploring away," says Peter Hammill. "This is about as comprehensive a documentation of that exciting time in our lives as it’s possible to get. We had the luck to be given an enormous amount of freedom by Charisma Records to find our own way – and an audience – from the outset. This meant we pushed ourselves as much as we could.

"It’s wonderful to have the whole recorded history of those years collected together as a complete set and the new mixes shed quite a different light on many of the pieces. Somewhat to our own surprise, we’ve had a later lease of life after our reunion album and concerts. And as the trio of Hugh, Guy and myself, we’re still working away and will be playing live again as soon as circumstances allow us. This remains a fun job.”

The Charisma Years Box features all their Charisma albums newly remastered from first-generation master tapes. Also featured are two CDs of a recently discovered and previously unreleased entire concert recorded in Paris in December 1976 by French radio, and all of the surviving BBC sessions recorded by the band.

The Charisma Years Box features all eight Charisma albums newly remastered from first-generation master tapes. Also featured in The Charisma Years are 2 CDs of a recently discovered and previously unreleased entire concert recorded in Paris in December 1976 by French radio, and all of the surviving BBC sessions recorded by the band.

In addition, there’s a Blu-ray features all of the surviving high-quality VDGG television footage and promotional films including from German TV’s Beat Club in 1970, a filmed appearance at The Bataclan in Paris in 1972 for the French TV show Pop Deux, the 1972 appearance on Pop Shop for RTBF Belgium, a live performance shot by Belgian TV in Charleroi in September 1975, promotional films of Wondering and Cat’s Eye, and a 20 minute documentary with live footage shot by Austrian television at The Kohfidisch Open Air Festival, Austria in June 1978.

There are also remixes of the albums H to He Who Am the Only One, Pawn Hearts, Godbluff and Still Life. These have been remixed from the original multi-track tapes in both Stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound by Stephen W Tayler. These four albums will also be made available separately as three-disc Sets, including Original Stereo Mixes. The set also features a 68-page book with rare photographs.

Over Six Hours of Never-Before-Seen Restored Footage, Including The Beatles’ Last Live Performance, to Roll Out on Disney+ Over Three Days, November 25, 26 and 27, 2021

BURBANK, Calif. (June 17, 2021) - The Walt Disney Studios, Apple Corps Ltd. and WingNut Films Productions Ltd. announced today that Disney+ will bring “The Beatles: Get Back,” a Disney+ Original documentary series directed by Peter Jackson, to fans and music lovers worldwide.

Because of the wealth of tremendous footage Peter Jackson has reviewed, which he has spent the past three years restoring and editing, “The Beatles: Get Back” will be presented as three separate episodes. Each episode is approximately two hours in length, rolling out over three days, November 25, 26 and 27, 2021, exclusively on Disney+.

“As a huge Beatles fan myself, I am absolutely thrilled that Disney+ will be the home for this extraordinary documentary series by the legendary filmmaker Peter Jackson,” said Bob Iger, Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board, The Walt Disney Company. “This phenomenal collection of never-before-seen footage offers an unprecedented look at the close camaraderie, genius songwriting, and indelible impact of one of the most iconic and culturally influential bands of all time, and we can’t wait to share ‘The Beatles: Get Back’ with fans around the world.”

Peter Jackson commented, “In many respects, Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s remarkable footage captured multiple storylines. The story of friends and of individuals. It is the story of human frailties and of a divine partnership. It is a detailed account of the creative process, with the crafting of iconic songs under pressure, set amid the social climate of early 1969. But it’s not nostalgia - it’s raw, honest, and human. Over six hours, you’ll get to know The Beatles with an intimacy that you never thought possible.”

He added, “I’m very grateful to The Beatles, Apple Corps and Disney for allowing me to present this story in exactly the way it should be told. I’ve been immersed in this project for nearly three years, and I’m very excited that audiences around the world will finally be able to see it.”

Directed by three-time Oscar®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “They Shall Not Grow Old”), “The Beatles: Get Back” takes audiences back in time to the band’s intimate recording sessions during a pivotal moment in music history. The documentary showcases the warmth, camaraderie and creative genius that defined the legacy of the iconic foursome, compiled from over 60 hours of unseen footage shot in January 1969 (by Michael Lindsay-Hogg) and more than 150 hours of unheard audio, all of which has been brilliantly restored. Jackson is the only person in 50 years to have been given access to these private film archives. “The Beatles: Get Back” is the story of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr as they plan their first live show in over two years, capturing the writing and rehearsing of 14 new songs, originally intended for release on an accompanying live album. The documentary features – for the first time in its entirety – The Beatles’ last live performance as a group, the unforgettable rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row, as well as other songs and classic compositions featured on the band’s final two albums, Abbey Road and Let It Be.

An exciting new collaboration between The Beatles and Jackson presented by The Walt Disney Studios in association with Apple Corps Ltd. and WingNut Films Productions Ltd., “The Beatles: Get Back” is directed by Peter Jackson, produced by Clare Olssen (“They Shall Not Grow Old”) and Jonathan Clyde (“Eight Days a Week”), with Ken Kamins (“The Hobbit” trilogy) and Apple Corps’ Jeff Jones (“Eight Days a Week”) serving as executive producers. Jabez Olssen (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) serves as the documentary’s editor, and the music is mixed by Giles Martin (“Rocketman”) and Sam Okell (“Yesterday”).

“The Beatles: Get Back” is being made with the enthusiastic support of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison.

Ahead of the documentary’s Disney+ debut, Apple Corps Ltd./Callaway Arts & Entertainment will release The Beatles: Get Back book on October 12. Beautifully designed and produced, the 240-page hardcover complements the “Get Back” documentary with transcriptions of The Beatles’ recorded conversations and hundreds of exclusive, never before published photos from the three weeks of sessions. The collectible book will be published in nine international language editions, including English.

In 1973 Bob Marley and the Wailers found themselves stranded on the West Coast of the United States after being asked to leave the Sly & The Family Stone tour for outperforming them every night. To make the best of the situation the band made their way to Los Angeles

The scene is Hollywood. Bob Marley and The Wailers were filmed in a closed door session at The Capitol Records Tower on October 24 by famed producer Denny Cordell, who received the blessing from Marley to capture the band recording 12 songs. Shooting with four cameras and mixing “on the fly” to a colorized tape, this footage, has been painstakingly restored, resulting in an incredible presentation of this unseen live session.

Peter Tosh joins Bob Marley And Bunny Wailer as an original Wailer.

This was only available as a bootleg previously

Dream Theater have announced a new album, A View From The Top Of The World. The follow-up to 2019's Distance Over Time, it'll be released via InsideOutMusic/Sony Music on October 22.

"We just love to play our instruments," says guitarist John Petrucci. "That never goes away. I love to be creative, write, and exercise that part of my mind. We’ve been able to do this for a long time, and we don’t take it for granted. Whenever we get together, we know we can’t disappoint ourselves or our fans, so we manage to try even harder."

"We approach every album like it’s our first," adds frontman James LaBrie. "It’s been such a great ride, but we’re not going to stop."

A View From The Top Of The World was produced by Petrucci at the band's new DTHQ (Dream Theater Headquarters), a "combination live recording studio, rehearsal space, control room, equipment storage, and creative hive," which was completed just as the band was forced to abandon its tour in support of Distance Over Time and the 20th anniversary of the classic Scenes From A Memory.

With LaBrie in Canada and the rest of the group in the States, most of the writing was done via Zoom, before the singer flew to New York in March, quarantined, then recorded his vocals at DTHQ. The artwork for the new album comes from longtime collaborator Hugh Syme.

Dream Theater have also announced a North American tour in support of the new album. The Top Of The World Tour kicks off on October 28 in Mesa, Arizona and climaxes on December in St. Petersburg, Florida, on December 14. See poster below.

Ozzy Osbourne’s 1991 full-length release, ‘No More Tears’, will be getting the expanded digital deluxe treatment to celebrate its 30th anniversary this September.

The expanded edition is due out on the 17th via Sony, and features two special editions: a 2LP black vinyl, and a special yellow and red 2LP vinyl version with an exclusively created booklet to go along with it that is only available through Tower Records.

The record reached the Top 10s on the US Billboard Chart at Number 7 and charted at Number 17 on the UK Albums Chart, and has since gone quadruple platinum.

At the time of its release, The Prince of Darkness’ sixth solo studio album achieved four Top 10 singles on the Billboard Rock Chart with ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’ at Number 2, ‘Road To Nowhere’ at Number 3, ‘Time After Time’ at Number 6, and the title track ‘No More Tears’ at Number 10.

From the multi-platinum selling record, the single ‘I Don’t Want To Change The World’ also earned Ozzy his first Grammy with his live version of the track that was featured on the 1993 ‘Live And Loud’ album. Both chart singles ‘I Don’t Want To Change The World’ and ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’ were two out of four tracks that were co-written with Ozzy’s long-time friend and Motörhead legend, the late Lemmy Kilmister, the others being ‘Desire’ and ‘Hellraiser’.

Looking back on the making of the record, Ozzy exclaims: “I have a lot of great memories of making the album. We worked hard on the record with John Purdell and Duane Baron, who became the extra two members of the band. It’s so nice when you get a producer who’s more like part of the band than them saying ‘nah, you do it this way.’”

He continues: “Because we write them and when you write the songs, you have a mental picture of how you think you want it to sound. Sometimes you’re surprised for the better, and other times you’re disappointed, but John and Duane did an extraordinary job on the album. Every song was worked on for a long time and we spent extra time trying to get things right. There was a lot of goofing around and we had a good time making it.”

Zakk Wylde, who has co-written and appeared on five of Ozzy’s studio albums and three live albums, also chips in and adds: “On the first record it was like, ‘I can’t believe I’m here.’ I had definitely crawled into the fire and kept thinking, ‘You gotta produce, you gotta come up with some cool stuff.’ On ‘No More Tears’ I guess I was more relaxed. With Ozzy, pretty much every time he knocks it out of the park. There’s very few times where he’s actually said, ‘No, let me come back to that, I don’t like what I’m singing and I’ll come up with something better.’”

Wylde explains: “Whatever you’re hearing on the record is pretty much the first thing he started singing that naturally came out of him, that he started hearing in his head. My love and adoration for him has just gotten even stronger and bigger over the years. It’s bigger than the music. It’s always a good time whenever we’re together, it’s always like a laugh fest, and then making the records are beyond hilarious as well.”

Tanto tiempo!!!

We all complete. Maybe none of us really understand what we've lived through, or feel we've had enough time.
